How to Face Fiery Trials with Faith

How to Face Fiery Trials With Faith

Has your faith been tested in fiery trials? You may not have had to walk through a literal furnace, yet your trials feel like they are burning you from head to toe.

I know what fiery trials feel like. Last fall, I learned an important lesson by facing a fiery trial head-on. But God didn’t let me face it alone. He was right beside me, reminding me of the powerful truths in his Word when I stepped into a tunnel of virtual flames.

I’m sharing the story of how God helped me apply Psalm 91 during my fiery trial on Woman 2 Woman Ministries. Here’s a peek at my post, and I hope you’ll head over to read the rest.

Exploring God’s Path for Your Life, Part 1

Exploring God's Path for Your Life, Part 1

Welcome to my new four-week series for this month, Exploring God’s Path for Your Life.

Have you ever wondered where you are on the path God has for your life? I’ve wondered about this in the past, and I’m still navigating the way with God’s help. The psalms have helped me learn what path God wants me to choose. For the next four weeks, we’ll look at what God tells us about life paths in the Psalms.

Psalm 139 Sunday Praise

img_2152

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.

You know when I sit and when I rise;

you perceive my thoughts from afar.

You discern my going out and my lying down;

you are familiar with all my ways.

Before a word is on my tongue

you know it completely, O Lord.

img_2147

You hem me in–behind and before;

you have laid your hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,

too lofty for me to attain.

img_2155

For you created my inmost being;

you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

your works are wonderful,

I know that full well.

All the days ordained for me

were written in your book

before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!

How vast is the sum of them!

Were I to count them,

they would outnumber the grains of sand.

When I am awake,

I am still with you.

img_2193

Search me, O God, and know my heart;

test me and know my anxious thoughts.

See if there is any offensive way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting.

spring beauty and wake robin

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.

Protect me, for I am devoted to you.

Save me, for I serve you and trust you.

You are my God.

Be merciful, O Lord, for I am calling on you constantly.

Give me happiness, O Lord, for my life depends on you.

O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask your aid.

Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord; hear my urgent cry.

I will call to you whenever trouble strikes, and you will answer me.
