Prayer for Peaceful Priorities
Prince of Peace,
I confess to you
I often put my health last
on my priority list.
Remind me I am
your dwelling place
and my body
is your temple.

Is your heart hurting over a broken relationship at Christmas? It seems like Christmas brings all of our deepest feelings to the surface, good and bad. This wonderful time of year can actually increase the hurt if our relationships are broken.
Do you know that if you prioritize your husband in busy December, God will bless your marriage? I know how hard it can be to do this in one of the busiest seasons of the year. But I also know that when I have prioritized my husband, I have more peace in busy December and feel closer to both him and God.
Today I’m honored to guest post for A Wife Like Me about how you can reap relationship and spiritual benefits when you prioritize your husband during busy December. Here’s a preview of this post, and I hope you’ll head over to read the rest.
How are you planning for Christmas peace this year? It’s not too early to think about it, because the holiday season brings loads of stress (especially for busy moms).
It’s October as I write this post. I love enjoying the fall leaves, sweater weather, and pumpkin spice now. Yet I’ve learned that a little planning for Christmas now goes a long way toward a more peaceful December.
In 2016, I self-published my first book, Christmas Peace for Busy Moms. My friend Meghan hosted me in October 2018 on her blog for an interview, and she did a great job! Since she revamped her blog, I needed to repost it here in its entirety. Enjoy!
One Christmas morning at 12:15 a.m., I sat on the stairs in our living room, holding back tears.
The presents were wrapped. The stockings were stuffed. The casserole was in the refrigerator, ready for our breakfast, only six hours away. The children were sleeping with sugarplum dreams, and my husband was snoring.
But I was exhausted. Physically and emotionally spent before Jesus’s birthday celebration.
