I’m writing about how to follow your calling as a creative person at my friend Nicole’s blog, Courage Hope Love, today. Here’s a peek at my post, and I hope you’ll head over to read the rest.

When It’s Time to Leave, Be Brave
I’m honored to guest post about a time to leave at my friend Crystal’s site today. In this post, I tell the story of how I needed courage to pursue my calling as a writer, and the path God led me down to take a crucial leap. Here’s a snippet of the post, and I hope you’ll head over to Crystal’s site to read the rest.
Some people are born brave. I’m not one of them.
Exploring God’s Path for Your Life, Part 1
Welcome to my new four-week series for this month, Exploring God’s Path for Your Life.
Have you ever wondered where you are on the path God has for your life? I’ve wondered about this in the past, and I’m still navigating the way with God’s help. The psalms have helped me learn what path God wants me to choose. For the next four weeks, we’ll look at what God tells us about life paths in the Psalms.
Review: She’s Still There
When I went to She Speaks 2017, Chrystal Evans Hurst was the keynote speaker for the Friday night session. Proverbs 31 Ministries was gracious enough to live stream the event through the First 5 app, and I enjoyed her message from the quiet comfort of my hotel room (this introvert needed a break from the big party). She is a powerful storyteller, and her strong voice carries through in her new book, She’s Still There.
Chrystal understands how life gets in the way of the girl still inside each woman. She has faced the trials of teenage pregnancy, financial difficulty, and the normal struggles of “diapers, dishes, and laundry” which every mother knows. She lost sight of her original freedom, passions, and faith, and this book is a story of how she found her way back with God’s help.
