A Prayer of Hope
We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20 NLT
Father, we place our hopes for America in your hands today.
We trust you to be our help in the days ahead, no matter what they bring.
Shield us from attacks from enemies of America, and our greatest enemy Satan.
May we hope in you because we feel your protection always.
We praise you as the Lord of hope.
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. Psalm 62:5 NLT
Lord, we confess we have not waited quietly before you.
We have fretted and feared, worrying about what the future holds.
Yet we can choose to still ourselves and sit at your feet, experiencing your perfect peace.
When fear strikes us, remind us to draw close to you for comfort and hope.
We praise you as our loving Father.
When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer. Psalm 94:19 NLT
Father, sometimes doubts about our country’s future fill our minds.
We worry about what the future holds for our children and grandchildren.
But when we meditate on the comfort you give, our hearts can find renewed hope.
Cheer us with the everlasting joy of our salvation in your presence.
We praise you as the One Who Makes All Things New.
I am worn out waiting for your rescue, but I have put my hope in your word. Psalm 119:81 NLT
Lord, we have been looking to you for rescue in this difficult year.
Yet the viruses and rioting have clouded our vision and discouraged us.
Today we look to the horizon and firmly place our hope in the truths expressed in your word.
Your Word can uphold and strengthens us no matter what lies ahead for our country.
We praise you as the Truth, the Way and the Life.
So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. Psalm 78:7 NLT
Jesus, help us reflect on your glorious miracles today.
All the miracles you worked while you were on earth, and the ones we’ve heard of ourselves.
May we be determined to obey your commands today, which will give us hope.
May we be a generation of revival and renewal, one who sparks a Holy Spirit-led revolution in America.
We praise you as our Redeemer and King.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
