Why Your Spiritual Gifts Matter
Do you know which spiritual gifts God has given you? If not, you can take a free test HERE. Even if you already know them, I encourage you to take the test again.
I took a spiritual gifts test last weekend, and was surprised by the results. I first took the test when I was in high school 20+ years ago, and again about 12 years ago at church. My core gifts have stayed the same: faith, knowledge, discernment and artistic gifts. But God has added a few more in the past few years, and I feel extra blessed by the Holy Spirit’s generosity toward me.
When we know more about spiritual gifts, we receive blessings upon blessings…

The Value of Spiritual Disciplines
Do you struggle with feeling timid in your faith? Spiritual disciplines can help you have more powerful faith. I have realized this by practicing spiritual disciplines myself for the past 16 years.
Spiritual discipline makes us more like Jesus. It’s the day in, day out motions that form our Christian walks. By committing to these habits, you will feel closer to God. You will also be more effective in sharing your faith and spiritual gifts with others. Consider the importance of each of these spiritual disciplines.
The Do’s and Don’ts of Step-Parenting
Disclaimer: I’ve never been a stepparent. But since both of my parents are divorced and remarried, I have had stepparents ever since I was four years old. I’ve also been influenced by several step-grandparents and a mother-in-law who is my husband’s stepmother.
Through all these relationships, I’ve learned both positive and negative truths about step-parenting. To stepparent well is a huge challenge, but it is possible with God’s help.
This is my best advice for step-parents based on almost 40 years of experience as a stepchild.
