How to Handle Your Husband’s Workaholism

If your husband suffers from workaholism, it is hard on you as a wife. I have had to live with this tough reality for over 18 years. But I’ve found ways to cope even though my husband still has workaholic tendencies. I want to share this hope with you.

Your Husband’s Workaholism

Workaholism is a tough problem. Most of us are not independently wealthy, so work is a necessity. Unlike other addictions to alcohol, gambling or gaming, you can’t live without work. So, you as a wife have a hard road to walk.

Your husband’s workaholism can take a toll on your marriage. Day after day, often seven days a week, you are longing for his presence. But he may retort with valid-sounding excuses, which you find difficult to counter.

Perhaps you have given up as a wife and feel stuck in loneliness. You may have decided to let down your heart’s guard and succumb to unhealthy temptations. You may even be angry at God for not fixing the situation.

But you don’t have to go the wrong way. I have practical, faith-based hope to offer you after my long struggle with my husband’s workaholism. You can have a measure of control and freedom if you follow the right steps.
