How Caring You Are

How Caring You Are is a prayer of praise for God’s care. I hope this prayer-poem inspires you today.

Today’s post is the twelfth one in the #write28days challenge, in which I’m participating during the month of February 2022. Today’s prompt is “Caring,” and here is my prayer/poem.

How Caring You Are

How caring you are, Father

to listen to all of my prayers

no matter how messy they are.

You care about the anguish

of my soul

so you accept

all the words I pour out

before you

and let me climb

up into your lap.

How caring you are, Jesus

as you walk beside me

in my pain and suffering

even carrying me

in your warm embrace

when the road is too rocky

and I’m too weak

to take another step.

You bind up my wounds

and give me your strength.

How caring you are, Holy Spirit

to send me such perfect comfort

through so many channels

in my season of grief.

I sense your constant guidance

in songs, sermons, smiles

at just the right moment

and I know you are singing

over me with love.

How caring you are, my Lord

to bend down so low

toward me

when you are so very great

and so incredibly holy.

How loved I feel

that you indwell me

as your creation of dust

and hold me close

as your precious daughter.
