I know what fiery trials feel like. Last fall, I learned an important lesson by facing a fiery trial head-on. But God didn’t let me face it alone. He was right beside me, reminding me of the powerful truths in his Word when I stepped into a tunnel of virtual flames.

Facing Fiery Trials With Faith
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare of the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I am trusting him.
For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from the fatal plague.
He will shield you with his wings.
He will shelter you with his feathers.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Today I’m facing a trial that’s been coming for some time. I’ve looked for a way out. I’ve prayed for a way around. But God is telling me, “The only way to move forward is through.”
I don’t want to walk through this tunnel of flames. I’m no circus performer who can tumble through without getting burned. I’m just a regular person. A woman of faith, yes. But made of steel? No.
