Dear friends, I am busy writing this new book to publish on Amazon as an e-book on January 8. I’m diving into the seasons of life in Ecclesiates: planting and harvesting, tearing and mending, silence and speaking, and much more.
This book is all about seeking trust in God’s timing as you weather life’s inevitable changes. I will take a break from blogging this week as I write the book, and I hope you will join me for the online Bible study January 9 – February 3.
What life seasons and changes are you facing this year? Here’s my 2017 list:
- Writing seven new Bible studies
- Seeking God’s will for work and writing
- Attending the She Speaks Conference in July 2017
- Supporting my husband as he develops his first subdivision
- Watching my oldest son officially enter the teen years
- Teaching my middle son about adolescence as he turns 11
- Building godly character in my daughter as she turns 9
- Reaching the 40-year-old milestone in October
- And of course, changes yet unknown
I want to trust God as I enter new territory. Entering new seasons can be intimidating. I want to seek God’s truth as I navigate new hills and valleys.
I want to seek out advice from others who have gone through these changes before: the challenges of raising teenagers, the challenges of adjusting to changes in my middle-aged body, and the challenges of pursuing my dream to write full-time.
I want to help others who are in places I’ve traveled before. I’ve faced seasons of financial difficulty, relationship problems, and emotional struggles. In Newness of Life, I will reveal some of those trials in hope that you will gain comfort and strength.
What challenges do you face in your transitions? How do you want your faith to grow in the process? Join me for the journey in my new book this January.
